Lampung Governor Muhammad Ridho Ficardo and Lampung Police Chief Inspector General Suroso Hadi Siswoyo agreed to work together to secure investment in Lampung Province. The synergy is realized by forming a task force (task force) to monitor the jammed part to accelerate investment.
It was revealed in the socialization of the working guidelines of the Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) of Lampung Province and Polda for security guarantee to invest in Pusiban Building of Lampung Governor Office on Thursday (14/09/2017). Lampung Governor represented by Lampung Provincial Secretary Sutono said this event is a follow up of investor forum about security guarantee of investment in and outside industrial area and special economic area.
"This forum brings benefits and gives calm to entrepreneurs in investing and developing business in Lampung," said Sutono. To achieve this, One Stop Integrated Permit (PTSP) and BKPM are expected to coordinate involving all stakeholders in attracting investors to Lampung.
This economic cooperation, said Sutono, is not new. "Previously, the Police participated in food security, and now get a job related to investment security," said Sutono.
This synergy, according to Kapolda Suroso Hadi Siswoyo, aims to smoothen and increase investment in Lampung. Polri has a standard reference for investment security synergies. One of the regulations that can become is the Working Guidance of the Capital Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) -Polri Number: 28 / KG / BKPM / 2016, Number: B / 44 / IX / 2016 on Coordination of Protection and Security for Business to Support Investment Activity in Indonesia.
Meanwhile, Deputy for Investment Control of BKPM, M. Azhar Lubis, explained that to simplify investment, the center issues 16 packages of policies related to investment. According to Azhar, there is a target that must be met by the government that is economic growth.
This year, he said, targeted economic growth of 5.1 to 5.3%. Economic growth factor consists of three components, namely consumption 53-54%, investment 33.3%, and government expenditure. "Government spending is the third rather than the first, so this investment is very important, otherwise the economic growth is too late," Azhar said.
The central government targets an investment of Rp678.8 trillion and reached as of June 1, 2017 of Rp336 trillion (49.6%). Next year is targeted to Rp765 trillion, up about 12.8%.
Azhar also explained that the Presidential Regulation will be issued which regulates the formation of a task force in each Province to monitor the jammed part in order to accelerate investment. Therefore, good communication and coordination is needed to improve and provide security for investors.
"All of them definitely need a conducive business climate that depends very much on the political, security, social and economic situation," Azhar said.
Those efforts, he said, would not be optimal if they were not balanced by the security and social stability. "Polda is obliged to maintain kamtibmas and enforce the law, the police chief needs to provide protection and security and synergize with the government in supporting the investment in Lampung," said Azhar.
